Stretching Parts of Animation

Sometimes, you might need to alter the spacing of a certain part of your animation.

There are several ways to do this.
The most obvious is to use Stretching Mode:

1. On the Timeline, select an interval you’d like to stretch.

2. Also on the Timeline, enable Stretching Mode:

3. In this mode, you can change the size of a part of the motion.

If you need a more in-depth guide on using Stretching Mode, see its page.

By default, Stretching Mode works for the entire character.
If you only need to stretch a part of the animation, you can use Animation Tracks.
Standard Cascadeur characters already have separate Tracks for all major body parts. And if existing Tracks are not enough, you can easily add your own.

Alternatively, you can use Trajectory Edit Mode to directly control trajectories of the Point Controllers and other elements of the rig.
To learn about this, see the Trajectories page.
