Ballistic Trajectory Tool


The Ballistic Trajectory group of settings. Because of the volume of the section, the image only shows a part of it.

This section contains parameters for the Ballistic Trajectory tool.

Additional Tool Radius
The scaling factor for the Ballistic Trajectory controllers.
Set to 0.0035 by default.

Ballistic Ghosts on Current Frame Max Distance
(not currently used)

Ballistic Ghosts on Current Frame Min Distance
(not currently used)

Ballistic Ghosts on Keys Max Distance
(not currently used)

Ballistic Ghosts on Keys Min Distance
(not currently used)

Bounds Expansion
Sets the threshold for selecting Ballistic Trajectories. Higher values make selecting easier.
Set to 10 by default.

Contour Color
The color for the outline of the controllers on the Ballistic Trajectory.

Deselect Tools Color
The color for the control points on the Ballistic Trajectory when they are not selected.

Frame Points Color
The color for the points that represent frames on the Ballistic Trajectory.

Frame Points Radius
The scaling factor for the points that represent frames on the Ballistic Trajectory.
Set to 0.004 by default.

Invalid Ghosts Color on Current Frame
The color for the Ballistic Ghosts when the algorithm is unable to calculate a proper solution for the current frame.

Invalid Ghosts Color on Keys
The color for the Ballistic Ghosts when the algorithm is unable to calculate a proper solution for the corresponding keyframe.

Matching Ghosts Color on Current Frame
The color of the Ballistic Ghost when the algorithm successfully calculates a proper solution for the current frame.

Matching Ghosts Color on Keys
The color of the Ballistic Ghost when the algorithm successfully calculates a proper solution for the corresponding keyframe.

Pose Fixation Timeline Color
The color used to mark a part of the Timeline 

Position Tool Radius
The scaling factor for the point that defines the first frame of the Ballistic Trajectory.

Selected Color
The color for the Ballistic Trajectory (and its controllers) when it is selected.

Snap Last Frame to Landing Point
If this is enabled, the algorithm tries to adjust the ballistic animation so the pose at the landing point would coincide with the 
Enabled by default.

Timeline Circle Radius
The scaling factor for the points on the line that represents the Ballistic Trajectory on the Timeline.
Set to 3 by default.

Timeline Color
The color for the line that represents the Ballistic Trajectory on the Timeline.

Timeline Width
The thickness for the line that represents the Ballistic Trajectory on the Timeline.
Set to 1 by default.

Trajectory Lines Color
The color for the line that represents the Ballistic Trajectory in the Viewport.

Valuable Frames Weight
Defines the weight for priority frames. Increasing this value means less changes would be made to the priority frames, but more changes would be made to the rest of the frames.
Set to 200 by default.

Weight Angle Rotations
Controls the extent to which rotation is preserved. Increasing this value means less changes are made to the object's rotation.
Its default value is 1.

Weight Angular Velocity
Controls the extent to which the rotation axis is preserved.
Its default value is also 1.

Weigh Last Frame Rotation
Controls the extent to which rotation on the last frame is preserved.
By default, it is set to 200.

Simplex in One Dimension
Sets the number of 'source' points for calculating ballistics.
Set to 3 by default.
