Inbetweening
A new tool for generating animation between the keyframed poses.
To use Inbetweening:
1. Select an interval on the Timeline:
The interval should contain at least two Keyframes - and there should not be more than 88 frames between the nearest keys (but the interval itself can have arbitrary length).
2. Click the Inbetweening button on the Toolbar:
After this, the tool will generate an animation based on the keyframes on the selected interval.
AutoPhysics
Added a slider for controlling the Physics Corrector.
Ballistic rotation now takes priority frames into account.
Improved Geometrical constraints logic.
Interface
Added context menu for the Viewport: now, right-clicking a scene object opens a list of actions that can be done with it.
Updated Splash Screen.
Added descriptions and tooltips to behavior fields, commands etc.
Import/Export parameters moved from Scene Settings to Import/Export window.
External viewport can now be split into 2 or 4 sections.
Loop sections at the end of an Animation Cycle interval are now highlighted when resizing the interval.
Python console: the bottom field is now selectable.
Node Editor and Python console windows can now be embedded into the UI layout.
Workspaces can now be exported and imported.
Ragdoll
Now, Ragdoll takes into account character interaction (interaction points).
Ragdoll can now interact with props. FK in props is taken into the account.
Convex and kinematic mesh colliders are now supported.
Collisions
Scale is correctly taken into consideration in colliders.
For scenes created in the previous versions of Cascadeur, run File → Fix Scene for the scale to work correctly.
The Enforce option in Fulcrum Points supports custom colliders (and visualization).
Convex mesh colliders generation.
Import
GLTF/GLB file format support.
FBX import now supports takes: now when you import a file containing multiple animations (takes), you can choose which one should be used in the Cascadeur scene.
Also, FBX now supports the ‘model’ pose import and export. This improves compatibility with Blender, Daz3d and other software.
Animation Unbaking
Improved cycle detection and error message structure.
Fixed crash that would sometimes occur when unbaking individual tracks.
Unbaking now supports not fully baked animations.
Added sliders for controlling the outcome to the Unbaking interface.
AutoPosing
Auto adjustment of autoposing lock state/controller activation.
AutoPosing lock state can now be changed on a selected interval (Alt+Shift+Z).
Improved AutoPosing algorithm.
Fixed constraint interactions with AutoPosing.
Improved spine and pelvis controllers’ behavior.
Other Updates
Added Roblox characters to sample scenes.
Added custom affixes for Mirror Tool (example customization: 'l0,r0'):
New setting for interval edit mode Update only in apply:
Improved Scale manipulator (scale uniformly along all three axes when dragging from the center).
Optimized Copy tools.
The settings.json file now supports environment variables.
Changed the global rotation kinematics interpolation for the toe Point Controller.
Fulcrum Motion Cleaning now fixes foot popping.
This functionality is controlled by the Fix Foot Length and Shortening Leg parameters in the Fulcrum Motion Cleaning section of the Scene Settings panel:
