Cascadeur receives Epic MegaGrant, to be used to build dedicated Unreal Engine Live Link

We are excited to share that Cascadeur has received an Epic MegaGrant of $50,000, which will be used to support the development of a dedicated Unreal Engine Live Link plugin.

What this means for creators

The current plugin released with Cascadeur 2024.3 has been a temporary solution to test the potential of connecting Cascadeur with Unreal Engine. The new integration will go much further by syncing complete animation sequences from Cascadeur with Unreal Engine in real time. This removes the need for manual exports or workarounds and establishes a faster and more reliable workflow for both indie creators and professional studios.

To help developers take full advantage of this workflow, Cascadeur will also provide tutorials and documentation that guide them through the integration step by step.

Why this matters for our community

According to our July 2025 user survey, over 40% of Cascadeur users rely on Unreal Engine in their workflow for creating games and films. This MegaGrant will therefore support a large part of the Cascadeur community by delivering a more powerful connection between Cascadeur and Unreal Engine.

We look forward to sharing updates as the Live Link plugin takes shape.
