Custom quick-rig bends on Auto Pose

28 February 2022
I cannot line Additional Controllers so that my character does not hunch when touching the Auto Pose. I cannot correctly configure the Additional Controllers, so my character hunches slightly when I touch the auto-pose controllers. Please see the attached before and after images. I've also uploaded the cascadeur file here, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uEt...ew?usp=sharing [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","height":"1351","width":"921","src":"https:\/\/remnote-user-data.s3.amazonaws.com\/ucoxMoWk_n-XBm3I2HNpxrKmcScGK-yC20r8xo3TTPNyLFkq_PeMwzIOjnV-wcQ1GwjDhGLStlCR7SFcpNX2OZA3n_YCRa_Vi_qAqmkKvK4H06dxa_L0LgM6Jvzt6tCl.png"}[/IMG2] [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/remnote-user-data.s3.amazonaws.com\/VcCQMpZFk5tBVOrvPczYBakkFC38rEDhvc7lOUxry2Af97ubGlXyoO01BzLccuEJO_JNfzyJGAVYyAwvImGWc9dJx2EwT3uqEdwAPEDwuYkLL6yXNrREIH16TLy4I8-t.png"}[/IMG2] I'm trying to imitate the angles I see on the provided characters that come with Cascadeur, but I've had no luck so far. The spine always twists a little funny when I try to pose the characters. Or is there anything else I'm overlooking? Could you experts please let me know if you see anything off? Or how do you debug these problems when rigging your rigs? Thanks! Cascadeur's Auto posing controllers work on the basis of a regular cascadeur rig, but the skeleton of your model has a different structure, so it bends slightly. But the problem of the controllers will be fixed in the next version of Cascadeur.

Thank you so much for the super quick reply and reviewing my file. Oops! the skinning was way off on the clothes on that one! That was distracting to the issue! Apologies for that! I fixed (a bit) that and re-uploaded the file. Please try it again. The character is in rest position, but as I move any of the auto-pose controllers, the pose shifts to this hunched look. So, if I understand correctly, in the current version of Cascadeur, there is nothing I can do about that with my rig to prevent this? But in the next version, there'll be a way around that? As a side note: this rig is the deform rig extracted from the Rigify rig, which is a prevalent (I'd say, the de-facto standard) for Blender animation. I found a smooth workflow to create characters with Rigify in Blender, export this automatically generated "game rig" version to Cascadeur, animate it there and then bring back and remap the animation to the Rigify control rig. Then, this workflow allows to layer and mix Cascadeur animations with other animations in the Blender - for example, face animations. One can mix them up in the Non-Linear Animation editor. I want to publish this workflow, but I am trying to address this last issue before doing that.
So, if I understand correctly, in the current version of Cascadeur, there is nothing I can do about that with my rig to prevent this? But in the next version, there'll be a way around that?
You can only try to fix the points. But it will work better in the next version!
