Suggestion: Expand Cascadeur's Reach with Multilingual Support (Especially Chinese)

9 April 2025

First, let me express my great appreciation for Cascadeur. It's a truly innovative tool that is revolutionizing character animation!

I am writing to respectfully suggest considering the implementation of multilingual support in future versions of Cascadeur, with a particular emphasis on Simplified Chinese.

Here's why I believe this would be highly beneficial:

1:Unlock Massive Market Potential: China, along with other non-English speaking regions, represents a vast and rapidly growing market for animation and game development talent. Providing a localized version would significantly lower the barrier to entry for countless potential users (students, indie developers, studios) who may currently find the English-only interface challenging.

2:Accelerate User Adoption:: A native language interface drastically reduces the learning curve, allowing users to grasp Cascadeur's powerful features more quickly and intuitively. This leads to faster adoption, wider usage, and potentially more paying customers for Pro licenses.

3:Enhance Global Competitiveness: Many established 3D and animation software packages already offer multilingual support. Adding this feature would make Cascadeur even more competitive globally, attracting users who prioritize working in their native language.

4:Foster Stronger Communities: Localized versions encourage the growth of vibrant regional user communities. Users are more likely to create tutorials, share work, provide feedback, and support each other in their own language, strengthening the entire Cascadeur ecosystem.

We understand that localization requires development resources. However, we believe the long-term benefits of reaching a significantly larger global audience and increasing user satisfaction would far outweigh the investment. Perhaps exploring community-assisted translation (under official guidance and review) could be a viable option to manage the workload.

Thank you for considering this suggestion. i'm passionate about Cascadeur and believe that broader language support would propel it to even greater success worldwide.
